The Artist
The Cat Artist is a restless creator—part observer, part performer. Wrapped in painted canvas, they wear their work like a second skin, carrying the marks of process, experimentation, and play. Paint splashes, stains, and accidental gestures become a visual diary of imagination.
Process:
The Cat Artist’s costume was constructed from repurposed canvas, originally intended for painting. I treated the fabric as a working artist’s surface, layering brushstrokes, stains, and markings using leftover pigments collected from previous projects. The matching bag was created from the same painted canvas, functioning as both accessory and extension of the character’s creative identity.
The mask was sculpted by hand and finished with painted details and faux fur remnants to create an expressive, slightly mischievous presence.
